What you can do with your Unturned server

On a dedicated server the map is online 24/7, with bases, vehicles and each player's inventory saved even when nobody is connected: your group joins whenever they like and picks up where they left off, without depending on someone having the game open on their PC.

From the panel, without editing files, you choose the name, password, maximum number of players (up to 200), map (PEI, Washington, Russia, Germany, A6 Polaris… or one from the Workshop), camera (first person, third person or both), difficulty, PvP or PvE and who the owner is. You also get a real-time console, file manager, SFTP, backups, scheduled tasks and sub-users, with Anti-DDoS protection included.

Which plan to choose

On PEI with no players, Unturned uses about 700-800 MB of RAM; bigger maps, mods and players push that up. You pay month to month, with no minimum term, and you can move to a plan with more RAM from the client area without losing the map or your bases.

• 2 GB: PEI and other small maps with a group of friends.
• 4 GB or more: big maps like Russia, Germany or A6 Polaris, mods or lots of players at once.
• Every plan includes 10 GB of NVMe storage per GB of RAM, one backup per GB and 5 ports.

How to get started

Choose a plan and complete the payment: the server is created on its own and your login details arrive by email. So that people can join over the Internet, Unturned needs a Steam game server login token (GSLT), which is free and you get it yourself with your Steam account: on steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers, enter 304930 as the App ID, add any memo and create the token. In the panel, paste it on the Startup tab, in the “Steam GSLT” field, and press Start.

To play, look for the server by its name in the game's Internet server list, or use Connect with the address and main port shown in the panel. If you would rather have someone else do the setup, Assisted setup is an optional one-off paid service: you give the token to a technician and they leave the server ready with the map, mods and settings you ask for. Support is handled through tickets on Discord.

Workshop maps, mods and admin

Workshop maps and mods are added by typing their Workshop IDs separated by commas, and the game downloads them when it starts. To play on a Workshop map, also type its name in the map field.

If you put your SteamID64 (the 17-digit number of your Steam profile) in “Owner Steam ID”, you join as an admin. RocketMod comes installed so you can add plugins, and the rest of the server settings can be changed in its files with the file manager or SFTP.

The server updates itself when it starts, so it always has the same version as the players' game.
