In detail

What your Hytale server looks like at ZentexNode

What you can do with your Hytale server

Hytale has been in early access since January 2026 and comes with an official dedicated server, which is what your plan runs. Your world stays online 24/7, so your group can drop in whenever they like.

The control panel runs in your browser, with a live console, file manager, SFTP access, backups, scheduled tasks and sub-users. Its settings let you choose the authentication mode and the version branch, allow operators, and enable the query plugin so the server reports its name and player count. Anti-DDoS protection is included.

Which plan to choose

Plans differ by RAM, and NVMe storage grows with it: 10 GB per GB of RAM. According to the official server manual, usage depends mostly on view distance and on how far players spread out across the map.

It's worth leaving yourself some headroom: if you run short, you can move to a plan with more RAM from the client area without losing your world.

  • 4 GB: the minimum stated in the official manual.
  • More RAM: several players exploring in different directions, mods, or a longer view distance.

Getting started

Order a plan and, once payment is complete, the server is created automatically and your login details arrive by email. The panel provides the Java version the game needs.

One step is specific to this game: in authenticated mode, which is the default, the server has to be linked to a Hytale account before it accepts players. According to the official manual, you type /auth login device in the console, open the link it shows and confirm the code with your account.

Versions, mods and plugins

For now, client and server must be on exactly the same version: if the game updates and the server doesn't, anyone on the new version won't be able to join. You pick the branch in the panel: release, which is the stable one, or another such as pre-release.

Mods come as .zip or .jar files and go in the mods folder, uploaded through the file manager or over SFTP (see our guide to connecting over SFTP). Accepting “early” plugins is a separate option: the game itself warns that they are unsupported and may cause stability issues.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Hytale hosting

The most common questions before setting up your Hytale server.

Can I already have a Hytale server?
Yes. Hytale is in early access and your server is created as soon as payment completes, running the game's official dedicated server.
What's included?
Ryzen 9 hardware, NVMe, Anti-DDoS Pro, management panel and human support, like the rest of our servers.
How can I bring memory usage down?
View distance is the main driver of RAM usage. The official manual recommends limiting it to a maximum of 12 chunks.
How do I protect my world before an update?
Create a backup from the panel, or schedule one as a task; our backup guide covers creating and restoring them.
Can I give other admins access?
Yes. Sub-users get into the panel with the permissions you choose; allowing operators in game is a separate panel option.
Can someone set the server up for me?
Yes. Assisted setup is an optional one-off paid service in which a technician gets the version, world, mods and settings ready.
Where are the servers and what latency will I get in the US?
Our US node is in Miami, Florida. It is our closest location for players in the eastern and southern United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean; from the West Coast the distance is greater, so latency will be higher. We also have nodes in Spain and in the São Paulo region (Brazil), and you choose the location at checkout. Real latency depends on your internet provider; if you want to check it before buying, ask us on Discord.
Does it include Anti-DDoS and a no-commitment trial?
Yes, every plan includes Anti-DDoS Pro and there is no contract: you can cancel whenever you want.
What currency do I pay in?
Prices for the United States are in US dollars (USD) and you pay by card. There is no setup fee and no contract.
