What your Garry's Mod server looks like at ZentexNode
What you can do with your Garry's Mod server
A sandbox with friends, a few rounds of TTT or a DarkRP city: what the server becomes is up to you. From the panel, without touching a file, you set the gamemode (sandbox, darkrp, terrortown and so on), the starting map, the player limit, the tickrate and the Steam Workshop collection. You can also enter your Steam GSLT token so the server shows up in the public list, and turn Lua refresh on or off.
The same panel includes a live console, file manager, SFTP, MySQL databases, backups, scheduled tasks and sub-users for your admins. The server stays online 24/7 and comes with Anti-DDoS protection.
Which plan to choose
Plans differ by RAM; how much you need depends on the gamemode and on how many addons you load. Billing is monthly with no commitment, and you can move to a plan with more RAM from the client area without losing your data.

How to get started
Choose a plan and complete the payment: the server is created on its own and your login details arrive by email. In the panel, pick the gamemode and map, enter your Workshop collection and start it up. Players join with the server address.
If you would rather not configure it yourself, Assisted setup is an optional one-off paid service in which a technician gets it ready with the gamemode, addons and settings you ask for. Support is handled through tickets on Discord.
Workshop collections and your own addons
Gather your addons into a Steam collection and enter it in the panel, either in the startup options or in the Mods tab; the server downloads it on startup. The collection has to be public or unlisted: if it is private, the server cannot read it.
Maps from the collection download automatically for anyone who joins, but the rest of the content (models, textures, sounds) does not: for players to receive it, each addon has to be declared with resource.AddWorkshop in a server-side Lua script.
Anything that is not on the Workshop is uploaded through the file manager or over SFTP (guide to connecting over SFTP) into the garrysmod/addons and garrysmod/gamemodes folders.

How much RAM does a DarkRP server need?
With a lot of addons, 8 GB or more. You can start on a smaller plan and move up later without losing your data.
Why is my server not showing in the public list?
It needs a GSLT token, which you generate with your Steam account. Paste it into the panel and restart. Your friends can still join with the server address.
Can I use MySQL with DarkRP?
Yes. Each plan includes as many MySQL databases as it has GB of RAM, and you create them from the panel. DarkRP uses them with certain addons, for example.
What if an addon breaks the server?
Restore an earlier backup; each plan stores as many as it has GB of RAM. The steps are in the backup guide.
Where are the servers and what latency do they have?
