What your American Truck Simulator server looks like at ZentexNode
What you can do with your American Truck Simulator server
In a regular Convoy, the session only exists while the host has the game open. With the official dedicated server that stops mattering: the session stays up day and night, and anyone in the group can run a delivery even when nobody else is online.
You manage it from a browser-based panel with a live console, file manager, SFTP access, backups and scheduled tasks. There are three game-specific settings: the lobby name, automatic updates and an optional Steam token. Anti-DDoS protection is included.
Which plan to choose
This server needs little memory: 2 to 4 GB is enough, so you can start on the small plan and move up only if you have to, from the client area and without losing your data.
Every plan includes:
- 10 GB of NVMe storage per GB of RAM.
- As many stored backups as it has GB of RAM.
- 5 ports and monthly billing with no minimum term.
Getting started
There are four steps between ordering and your first haul. If you'd rather have a technician handle it, Assisted setup is an optional one-off paid service.
- Order a plan: once payment is complete, the server is created automatically and your login details arrive by email.
- Open the panel and choose the lobby name.
- Export the map files from your game and upload them to the server (the details are in the next section).
- Open Convoy mode in the game, find your session and tell your group.
DLC states, mods and how people find you
To know which map to load, the server needs two files: server_packages.sii and server_packages.dat. The game creates them itself: enable the developer console, load the profile that has the DLC states and mods your group will use, and run export_server_packages. Then upload them with the file manager or over SFTP; our SFTP connection guide shows how.
The session mirrors whatever that profile had. If you later buy a new state or change the mod list, export and upload the files again.
The Steam token is optional and lets the server keep a fixed ID; without it, the ID changes on every start.
